Description
Defcon Clay Bar comes as a 200 g tub of small, ready-to-use pieces for the decontamination step of PPF preparation. It lifts bonded contamination that a wash leaves behind, so the panel is smooth before the final wipe with DFA Surface Cleaner. The clay holds together when it meets harsh cleaning chemicals.
A clean, contaminant-free surface is a condition of the Defcon film warranty, and anything left under the film can cause adhesion problems. Lubricate the panel with soapy water or a clay lubricant before working the clay across it.
The same method works on installed Defcon PPF when stubborn contaminants need shifting. The full preparation stage is covered in the PPF installation guide.
