The Free PPF Experience Day is a hands-on session at the Defcon Training & Experience Centre, Unit 2/23 Cook Rd, Mitcham VIC 3132, where installers and workshop owners install Defcon PPF themselves instead of watching someone else do it. Bring your own vehicle or use the demo car, apply Glanz gloss PPF, Frozen satin PPF and Spectra colour PPF with your own techniques, and compare handling, stretch, adhesive behaviour and finish with the film you use today. There is no fee. Book through the contact form and tick the experience day option.

Don't just take our word for it. Come and try it yourself, for free. The best way to judge a PPF is to install it, because every installer has their own techniques, preferences and expectations. Instead of relying on product descriptions or a sales demonstration, you test the films using your own installation methods.
The day is aimed at experienced installers and shop owners, especially those currently running another brand. Compare how Defcon film positions, stretches, tacks and finishes against what is on your shelf now, then decide which lines suit your business.
Glanz
Clear Gloss PPF
Get hands-on with Defcon Glanz and see its high-gloss finish and optical clarity on the panel. Apply the film yourself and test stretch, positioning, adhesive response and handling around curves and edges.
Glanz is aliphatic TPU at 190 microns ±10% with a 13-micron self-healing top coat, and ARPANSA recorded 99.0% of UV blocked in testing. On the day you can check those numbers against the way the film behaves in your hands, then inspect the finish once it is down. Specifications are on the Glanz page.
Frozen
Satin PPF
Feel the film and see the satin finish. Defcon Frozen protects factory matte paint and turns a gloss panel satin without a respray. Apply it yourself and judge handling, flexibility and how the finish reads next to the gloss film, which is the comparison customers ask for.
Spectra
Colour PPF
Explore colour and experience protection in one film. Defcon Spectra comes in more than 200 colours across gloss and satin finishes. Get hands-on with a colour change panel and feel how the film stretches, positions and conforms around the shape of the panel.
Spectra is paint protection film first, so the colour comes with the self-healing top coat and impact protection of the clear lines. For wrap shops it is the line to test against vinyl, on the same panel, with your own hands.
