Description
Defcon Descaling Shampoo is a 500 mL wash for two points in a PPF job: the wash before film goes on, and routine washing once it is installed. That is why it appears in both the preparation and aftercare groups on the PPF tools and accessories page.
Before installation the paint has to be free of wax, grease, silicone and residue, which is a condition of the Defcon film warranty. Wash first, use the Defcon Clay Bar for bonded contamination, then finish with a wipe of DFA Surface Cleaner.
On installed film, wait 7 days before the first wash and keep high-pressure water away from film edges. For film that needs more than a wash, step up to Defcon Purify.
