WINDOW TINT SUPPLIER BRISBANE
CoolVue nano-ceramic tint for Brisbane tint shops, matched to QLD VLT rules.
Brisbane tint shops can buy Defcon CoolVue nano-ceramic window tint by the roll, with five VLT grades and a lifetime limited warranty registered through e-Warranty. This page sets out the QLD tint rules that decide which grade goes on which window, how the grades read once they are on the glass, and what freight to Brisbane looks like: about $26.01 by CouriersPlease on a 16-litre drum to a Brisbane postcode. Rolls are 1.52 m by 30 m and prices are listed ex. GST in the online shop, with no account needed. A free sample roll is the first step for a Brisbane shop comparing suppliers.
QLD Tint Rules,
Glass And Film Together
Queensland follows the national pattern: 35% VLT minimum on front side windows and 20% behind the driver with a mirror on each side, measured through glass and film together, and no reflectance above 10%. The state by state VLT guide maps each CoolVue grade to the table.
The windscreen takes no film below the top band, so a Brisbane customer who wants a cooler cabin gets the heat rejection from the side and rear glass, not from going darker than the law allows.
Five Grades,
Five Readings
The five CoolVue grades are VLT 75, 35, 20, 15 and 5, with measured film transmission of 72%, 35%, 21%, 16% and 5% respectively. Reflectance sits between 5% and 8% on every grade, inside the 10% limit.
The working estimate is to multiply the two readings: glass at 80% with VLT 75 lands around 58%, which passes a front door, while the same glass with VLT 35 lands around 28%, which fails. A calibrated VLT gauge on the bare glass is the only way to know.
Heat Rejection
Without Going Dark
Going darker is not how CoolVue cuts heat. UV rejection runs from 99.5% on VLT 75 to 99.9% on VLT 5, and infrared energy rejection from 95.2% to 98.8%, so the light grade still does most of the work. That matters under Queensland sun. The non-metallic construction leaves GPS, toll tags and phone signal untouched.
Freight To
Brisbane
Orders dispatch from Melbourne by CouriersPlease or TNT Road Express. A 16-litre drum of Installation Gel to a Brisbane postcode quotes about $26.01 and $41.93 respectively, and orders over $1000 ex. GST ship free, which covers most roll orders.
The checkout shows the transit time for the postcode before payment, 1 to 4 business days by CouriersPlease and 1 to 3 by TNT Road Express. A tint order that also carries consumables or a PPF roll usually clears the free shipping line on its own.
Glass Roofs
And EV Work
EV glass roofs are a different job from side glass. The panel needs UV and stone protection rather than privacy, which is the work Crystal Shield clear film is made for, with a 3-year limited warranty.
The EV glass protection film page covers how dealerships and installers quote glass roofs, and the Tesla Model Y page shows the panels involved on a Model Y.
Humidity makes surface prep and slip solution discipline more important, and the water quality article covers what to check.
Tint Shops
In Brisbane
Brisbane installers sell protection against sun as much as against stones, and utes and 4WDs heading west or north are a regular part of the work. A tint customer with a new vehicle is often a paint protection prospect too, and the tint shop page covers how the menu widens from tint into film.
Humidity makes surface prep and slip solution discipline more important, not less. Window film and the full PPF range sit in the same online shop, with one warranty system behind both.
Warranty
And Registration
The warranty on CoolVue is lifetime limited, under normal use and proper installation, and each job is registered through e-Warranty within 7 days of invoice against a serialised roll.
The warranty page has the full terms, and the warranty guide separates film faults from installation-related ones.
FAQ
-
Which CoolVue grade passes on a front door in QLD?
VLT 75 is the grade that stays above 35% once factory glass is factored in. Measure the bare glass with a calibrated VLT gauge before cutting, because the legal test is a reading of glass and film together.
-
Will CoolVue interfere with GPS or toll tags?
No. The nano-ceramic construction is non-metallic, so GPS, toll tags and phone signal are not affected.
-
How reflective is CoolVue?
Visible light reflectance sits between 5% and 8% across the five grades, under the 10% maximum every state applies.
-
Can I tint the windscreen?
Only a band across the top. The windscreen takes no film below that band, sized as the area above the wiper arc or the top 10% of the screen, whichever is greater.
-
Do I need a trade account to order?
No. Prices are listed ex. GST in the online shop and anyone ordering for a workshop can buy without an account.
-
What is the legal window tint in Brisbane?
Queensland follows the national pattern: 35% VLT minimum on front side windows and 20% behind the driver with a mirror on each side, measured through glass and film together, and no reflectance above 10%.

How much is freight to Brisbane?
The checkout shows the rate for the postcode before payment; as a guide, about $26.01 by CouriersPlease on a 16-litre drum to a Brisbane postcode. Orders over $1000 ex. GST ship free.
