PORSCHE 911 PPF
Clear, satin or colour film for a car that is built to be driven.
A Porsche 911 sits low, so its front bumper, bonnet and headlights face the road head on and collect most of the stone chips. Clear PPF on those panels is the first job most owners book, and on a GT3 the rear guards in front of the wheels are worth covering too. Defcon Glanz is aliphatic TPU at 190 microns ±10% with a 13-micron self-healing top coat. Owners who want a stealth look can go satin with Frozen, or change colour with Spectra. This page covers each option on the 911.
The Front End
Takes The Hits
A 911 sits low and its front bumper and bonnet face the road head on. That is where stone chips collect, along with the headlights and the leading edge of the front guards. Clear PPF on those panels is the first job most owners book.
Defcon Glanz gloss film is aliphatic TPU at 190 microns ±10% with a 13-micron self-healing top coat. On a GT3, the rear guards in front of the rear wheels are worth covering too.
Stealth, Satin
Or Colour
Owners who want the stealth look use satin film. Defcon Frozen turns gloss paint satin and protects it, and it can come off later. The BMW M3 page shows a gloss black car turned satin with Frozen.
For a full colour change, Defcon Spectra colour PPF comes in more than 200 colours in gloss and satin. The light blue 911 Carrera on this page is wrapped in Spectra.
Headlights
And Glass
Headlight film keeps stone pits off the lenses. For the windscreen, Defcon Crystal Shield is an optically clear film made for glass, with a 3-year limited warranty. Check your state's tint rules before tinting windows. The window tint laws guide lists the limits.
Warranty And
Registration
Glanz and Frozen carry a 10-year limited warranty and Spectra 7 years. Every roll is serialised and the installer registers the car on e-Warranty within 7 days of invoice.
On a car this valuable, ask the installer which film is going on and ask for the registration. Full terms are on the warranty page.

Washing A Car
With PPF
Hand wash with a pH-neutral car shampoo and a soft mitt. Keep a pressure washer nozzle well back from the film edges and never aim it straight at an edge.
Ceramic coating can go on top of PPF for easier washing. The PPF vs ceramic coating guide explains what each one does.
