WINDOW TINT SUPPLIER PERTH
CoolVue nano-ceramic tint for Perth tint shops, matched to WA VLT rules.
Perth tint shops can buy Defcon CoolVue nano-ceramic window tint by the roll, with five VLT grades and a lifetime limited warranty registered through e-Warranty. This page sets out the WA tint rules that decide which grade goes on which window, how the grades read once they are on the glass, and what freight to Perth looks like: about $37.30 by CouriersPlease on a 16-litre drum to a Perth postcode. Rolls are 1.52 m by 30 m and prices are listed ex. GST in the online shop, with no account needed. A free sample roll lets a Perth shop test the film before paying to ship a full order across the Nullarbor.
WA Tint Rules,
Glass And Film Together
Transport WA sets 35% VLT forward of the B pillar and 20% behind it, with ADR 14 mirrors, measured through glass and film together, and no reflectance above 10%. The state by state VLT guide maps each CoolVue grade to the table.
Transport WA lists sunroofs and glazing in the roof among the exemptions from VLT limits. That is the surface where a clear protection film belongs rather than a dark tint, because the job is UV and stone protection over a panoramic panel.
Five Grades,
Five Readings
Five grades cover the range: VLT 75 at 72% measured transmission, VLT 35 at 35%, VLT 20 at 21%, VLT 15 at 16% and VLT 5 at 5%. No grade reflects more than 8% of visible light, well inside the 10% maximum.
On front doors, VLT 75 is the grade that stays above 35% once the glass is factored in. Behind the driver in a 20% state, VLT 35 is the safe choice on most factory glass, and VLT 20 only passes where the glass reads very high, so measure before you promise.
Heat Rejection
Without Going Dark
Going darker is not how CoolVue cuts heat. UV rejection runs from 99.5% on VLT 75 to 99.9% on VLT 5, and infrared energy rejection from 95.2% to 98.8%, so the light grade still does most of the work. That matters under WA sun. The non-metallic construction leaves GPS, toll tags and phone signal untouched.
Freight To
Perth
Perth is the one capital where freight planning is part of the job. Defcon dispatches from Melbourne by CouriersPlease or TNT Road Express; a 16-litre drum of Installation Gel to a Perth postcode quotes about $37.30 and $57.46 respectively. Orders over $1000 ex. GST ship free, so WA shops do better ordering rolls and consumables together, and carrier notices for WA can add time in peak periods.
Transit is quoted at checkout: CouriersPlease at 1 to 4 business days and TNT Road Express at 1 to 3, with the exact figure shown for the postcode entered. Tint and paint protection film travel in the same order, so a mixed order reaches the free shipping line sooner.
Glass Roofs
And EV Work
Transport WA lists roof glazing among the exemptions from VLT limits, so on a panoramic roof the job is UV and stone protection, which is what Crystal Shield is made for.
The EV glass protection film page covers how dealerships and installers quote glass roofs, and the Tesla Model Y page shows the panels involved on a Model Y.
Standard PPF is not made for glass because its optics distort the view, which is why glass work runs on its own film line.
Tint Shops
In Perth
WA buys more coverage film than any other state, and most mine-site utes and station 4WDs carry two films on one vehicle. Most tint shops that add film start with the customers already booked in for tint. The tint shop page covers how that conversation goes.
Cutting patterns in-house on the DFA Plotter means a Perth shop holds rolls rather than precut kits and never waits on a kit from the east. Window film and the full PPF range sit in the same online shop, with one warranty system behind both.
Warranty
And Registration
The warranty on CoolVue is lifetime limited, under normal use and proper installation, and each job is registered through e-Warranty within 7 days of invoice against a serialised roll.
The warranty page has the full terms, and the warranty guide separates film faults from installation-related ones.
FAQ
