FORD RANGER & LANDCRUISER 300 PPF
Film for 4WDs and utes that leave the bitumen.
A Ford Ranger or LandCruiser 300 that goes bush picks up branch scratches on narrow tracks, stone chips on gravel roads and mud that gets scrubbed off with a pressure washer. PPF puts a layer between that and the paint. Defcon FleetArmour covers the hard panels on the sides, tray and lower doors, and clear gloss film covers the front end where the owner wants the finish kept. A damaged panel of film can be replaced instead of the paint being repaired. This page covers the panel plan for the Ranger, Ranger Raptor and LandCruiser 300.
Branches, Gravel
And Mud
A Ranger or LandCruiser 300 that goes bush picks up scratches from branches along narrow tracks, stone chips from gravel roads, and mud that gets scrubbed off with a pressure washer. PPF puts a layer between that and the paint.
Self-healing film handles light scratches. Deep gouges from a sharp branch can still cut through film, but they cut the film rather than the paint, and a damaged panel of film can be replaced.
FleetArmour For
The Hard Panels
Defcon FleetArmour is a gloss PPF made for high-abrasion panels on 4WDs, utes and fleet vehicles: the sides, the tub or tray sides, the lower doors and the wheel arches. More panel detail is on the 4WD and ute paint protection film page.
For the bonnet and front bumper, where finish matters more, Defcon Glanz clear gloss film keeps the factory look.
Which Panels
To Cover
Highway driving: bonnet, front bumper, headlights, front guards and mirrors. Off-road: add the sides, lower doors, wheel arches and the rear quarters. Work utes: add the tray or tub sides and the top of the tailgate. The which film on which 4WD panel guide sets out panel by panel.
Warranty And
Registration
FleetArmour carries a 3-year limited warranty and Glanz 10 years. Every roll is serialised and the installer registers the vehicle on e-Warranty within 7 days of invoice.
Full terms are on the warranty page. Fleet operators can register each vehicle separately.

Test It On
Your Own Panels
Installers can request a free sample roll and try it on a tray side or wheel arch before stocking it.
Questions about rolls, patterns or training go to the team on the contact page.
Washing A Car
With PPF
Hand wash with a pH-neutral car shampoo and a soft mitt. Keep a pressure washer nozzle well back from the film edges and never aim it straight at an edge.
Ceramic coating can go on top of PPF for easier washing. The PPF vs ceramic coating guide explains what each one does.
FAQ
-
Will PPF stop branch scratches on my Ranger or LandCruiser?
It stops most light scratches reaching the paint, and light marks in self-healing film fade with heat. A sharp branch can still cut the film, but then the film is replaced instead of the paint being repaired.
-
Which Defcon film suits a 4WD?
FleetArmour for the sides, lower doors, wheel arches and tray sides, and Glanz clear gloss for the bonnet and front bumper.
-
Does PPF work on a LandCruiser 300?
Yes. The same films and panel plan apply to the LandCruiser 300, Ranger, Ranger Raptor and other 4WDs and utes.
-
What warranty does FleetArmour have?
FleetArmour carries a 3-year limited warranty and Glanz 10 years, registered per vehicle on e-Warranty.
-
Can I pressure wash a car with PPF?
Yes, with care around the film edges. Keep the nozzle back from the edges and do not aim straight at them.
-
Does Defcon install film?
No. Defcon supplies film to installers and 4WD shops. Ask your installer which film they use.
-
Where do installers buy FleetArmour?
In the online shop, by the roll, with prices listed ex. GST.
