FLEET PROTECTION FILM

Coverage film for vehicles that cop hits every day.

Fleet protection film has to be fast to install, priced to replace and tough on the panels that take the abuse. Defcon FleetArmour is built for that job: a sacrificial PPF for tray sides, sills, rock sliders and other high-abrasion zones on utes, 4WDs and work vehicles. It is ordered by the roll at 1.52 m x 15 m and backed by a 3-year limited warranty. When a section wears through, it is stripped and re-filmed rather than repaired. This page covers how fleet jobs are planned and ordered.

Fleet Work Is A
Different Job

A showroom bonnet is filmed once and admired. A fleet ute is filmed, driven into a quarry, scraped on a gate and filmed again. The film for that job has to be fast to install, priced to replace and tough on the panels that take the abuse.

Defcon FleetArmour is built for that: a sacrificial PPF layer for tray sides, sills, rock sliders and other high-abrasion zones, ordered by the roll at 1.52 m x 15 m and backed by a 3-year limited warranty.

Sacrificial By
Design

FleetArmour is priced so the film can be replaced rather than repaired. When a panel section wears through, it is stripped and re-filmed; the paint underneath stays original, which is what the fleet manager is paying for at resale or lease return.

That is the opposite logic to a gloss finish film, and it is why the two should not be swapped: coverage film on a showroom panel disappoints, finish film on a mine-site ute wastes money. The cheap vs premium PPF guide explains the split.

Which Film On
Which Panel

Fleet vehicles are mixed jobs. Bonnet leading edges and tray sides take FleetArmour; a bonnet face that the operator wants kept glossy takes Glanz. The 4WD paint protection film page and the panel by panel guide set out the zones.

Ordering At
Fleet Volume

Rolls are listed ex. GST in the online shop with no account needed, and orders over $1000 ex. GST ship free Australia-wide from Melbourne by CouriersPlease or TNT Road Express. For a standing monthly roll count, contact the team for volume terms.

Installation Gel in 16-litre drums and DFA Surface Cleaner in 24-can cartons ship with the film, so a fleet workshop restocks in one order. The PPF rolls page covers volume supply.

Warranty And
Registration For Fleets

FleetArmour carries a 3-year limited warranty under normal use and proper installation. Every roll is serialised and every installation registered through e-Warranty within 7 days of invoice, vehicle by vehicle, so a fleet of twenty utes has twenty records.

For fleet operators that record is an asset register entry: which vehicle was filmed, when, with which roll, by which installer. Terms are on the warranty page.

The warranty guide lists what is installation related, which matters when a fleet contract specifies who carries which risk.

Install Speed
On Large Panels

Fleet margins are made on install time. FleetArmour uses an easy-tack adhesive that repositions then grips, and stretch that clears sills and tray sides without lifting, so large flat sections go down fast. Cutting off the car on the DFA Plotter keeps blades away from paint on every vehicle in the run.

FleetArmour is a different film from the gloss lines and is not part of the ARPANSA test on Glanz; it is specified for abrasion and replacement, not showroom finish.

Dealerships, Fleets
And Tint

Dealerships filming new stock at pre-delivery use the same system; see the dealership page. Fleet cabins often take CoolVue window tint in the same visit, within the VLT limits of each state.

A free sample roll lets a fleet installer test FleetArmour on one vehicle before quoting the run.
