COLOUR PPF WHOLESALE
Spectra colour paint protection film for restyling shops.
Colour Change And
Protection In One Film
Defcon Spectra is the colour PPF line in the Defcon range: more than 200 colours across gloss and satin finishes, delivering an OEM paint-like result with paint-protection performance that traditional vinyl wrap does not offer.
For restyling shops that means one film sells two jobs at once, colour change plus protection, on a 7-year limited warranty registered through the e-Warranty system.
Spectra Against
Traditional Vinyl
Vinyl changes colour; Spectra changes colour and protects. The film carries the same PPF construction logic as the clear lines, so stone chips and wash marks are the film's problem rather than the paint's.
Both gloss and satin finishes are stocked, ordered through the same trade portal as the clear PPF range.
Quoting Colour PPF
Work
Colour PPF can also be installed over existing vinyl or graphics where needed, though hard edges can trap air underneath the film, so inspect and set expectations at quoting time.
Precut patterns from OEMC software cover colour film the same as clear, keeping panel cutting off the paint.
Trade Pricing &
Sample Rolls
Spectra is priced for restyling shops that sell colour and protection as one job. Trade rates sit behind the login, so the premium you put on a colour change stays your decision.
Colour film behaves differently from clear on curves and edges, so test it first: request a free sample roll in the finish you quote most, or use the Practice Pack to train new hands before they touch a customer's panel. For how colour film changes the quote, read colour PPF vs vinyl wrap.
Warranty
By Film Line
Spectra carries a 7-year limited warranty across every colour and both finishes, under normal use and proper installation. That is the figure to quote; the full conditions, including what counts as a manufacturing defect, are on the warranty page.
A Spectra colour change is registered like any install, through e-Warranty within 7 days of invoice, on OEM paint by an authorised installer.
Colour film claims run through the same published procedure as clear film, set out on the warranty page.

FAQ
-
How do I open a trade account?
Restyling shops apply for a trade account via the contact page; Spectra colours are then ordered from the online shop.
-
Can I test the film before ordering?
Yes. Request a free sample roll and run it through your own installation process, or order the Defcon Practice Pack to train on real film before touching customer stock.
-
Can PPF be applied over vinyl wraps or racing stripes?
Yes, PPF can be applied over vinyl or graphics. Watch hard edges, which can trap air underneath the film, and set customer expectations before quoting.
-
Does the warranty transfer if the vehicle is sold?
Yes. Defcon warranties transfer to subsequent vehicle owners while a valid e-Warranty record exists, which is a selling point your customers can pass on at resale.
-
How deep a scratch will the film self-heal?
The self-healing clear coat is about 13 microns thick. Scratches contained in that layer repair with heat from sunlight or warm water. Anything that cuts through the clear coat is permanent, and that section should be replaced.
-
What maintenance should end customers follow?
No special maintenance is needed beyond regular cleaning. The self-healing top coat handles minor wash marks with heat, and full care terms sit alongside the warranty conditions on the warranty page.
-
Do you offer support in Chinese?
Yes. Bilingual consultation in English and Chinese is available through our WeChat channel, covering product selection, ordering and technical questions. 我们提供中英双语咨询。
-
How long does the film last?
Defcon ONE carries a 12-year warranty and Glanz a 10-year warranty covering yellowing, staining, bubbling, peeling and cracking, so the film you sell is warranted for close to the ownership life of most vehicles.
