The 2026 BMW Australia Bathurst 12 Hour Safety Car spent the race weekend doing exactly what a safety car does: sitting in pit lane under harsh sun, then sprinting onto one of the most demanding circuits in the country at a moment’s notice. Mount Panorama punishes paint. Stone chips at speed, rubber debris, brake dust and long hours of direct UV exposure compress years of wear into a single weekend.
