PPF SUPPLIER AUSTRALIA

Wholesale paint protection film for professional installers.

How Supply Works,
Start to Finish

Defcon Films Australia is the manufacturer and PPF supplier behind the Defcon film range, selling directly to installers across Australia rather than through resellers. The pipeline is short: register for a trade account, request a sample roll, place orders through the online shop, and register each installation in the e-Warranty system.

Because film, cutting software, plotter, consumables and training all come from the same catalogue, a new shop can set up its whole PPF workflow through one account, and an established shop can consolidate suppliers instead of juggling separate vendors for film and patterns.

One Supplier,
Six Film Lines

Order gloss (Defcon ONE, Glanz), satin (Frozen), colour (Spectra), EV glass protection (Crystal Shield) and CoolVue window tint from a single trade portal, with one warranty system and one support contact behind every roll.

Each line has a job: Glanz is the high-clarity gloss film, Frozen carries a satin finish, Spectra offers more than 200 colours in both gloss and satin, FleetArmour covers 4WD and fleet panels as a cost-efficient sacrificial layer, Crystal Shield protects EV glass, and CoolVue resists colour fading and distortion on automotive glass.

Film Construction
& Testing

The gloss PPF lines are built on aliphatic TPU at a total thickness of 190±10% microns, about 7.5 mils, with single-point puncture resistance close to 10 kg and a 13-micron self-healing top coat that repairs minor scratches under heat.

UV protection is lab tested by ARPANSA, the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency, and the adhesive is balanced for slide positioning that grips once the film is placed. These are the numbers your customers ask about, and they are printed here so you can quote them directly. The film stretches over curves and contours without lifting, and the easy-tack adhesive slides during positioning then grips once placed, which shortens installation time on complex panels.

Trade Pricing &
Sample Rolls

Wholesale pricing sits behind the trade login, so your buy rates stay confidential. There are no public price lists to undercut the margin you charge your own customers.

Before committing to full rolls, request a free sample roll and run it through your own installation process, or order the Defcon Practice Pack to train on real film without touching customer stock.

Warranty
By Film Line

Each film line carries its own limited warranty: 12 years on Defcon ONE, 10 years on Glanz and Frozen PPF, 7 years on Spectra colour PPF, 3 years on Crystal Shield and FleetArmour, and a lifetime limited warranty on CoolVue window tint, always under normal use and proper installation. Full terms are on the warranty page.

Every roll and installation is registered through the e-Warranty system. Registration is completed within 7 days of the customer invoice, cover applies to film installed on OEM paintwork by an authorised Defcon installer, and the warranty transfers to subsequent vehicle owners while a valid e-Warranty record exists.

Claims follow a defined procedure: the invoice, the e-Warranty registration, vehicle details and photos or video of the affected area. Abnormal or premature yellowing is treated as a manufacturing defect and covered, unauthorised resale voids cover, and the warranty is governed by Victorian law.

OEMC Software
& DFA Plotter

Cut vehicle patterns in-house with OEMC pattern software on the DFA plotter, both listed in the Defcon product range. Film, software and plotter come from one supplier, so a single support contact covers the whole cutting workflow.

In-house cutting means panels are cut off the car from a pattern library instead of being hand trimmed on paint, which is how most film damage claims start. The DFA Plotter and OEMC software are stocked as standard catalogue items.

Training &
Installer Support

PPF installation training and support come through the same team that supplies the film: training sessions, cutting software setup and tooling advice are part of the trade relationship, not a separate vendor.

New installers can start with the Starter Pack, practice on the Practice Pack, then move to full rolls once confident. Technical questions are answered through our contact page, in English or Chinese.

Who We Supply
Across Australia

Defcon supplies professional PPF installers, window tint shops, car dealerships, detailing studios and fleet operators Australia-wide, with stock dispatched from Australian warehousing through the online shop. We supply professional installers, car dealerships, vehicle wrap shops and detailing studios with the same trade terms.

Bilingual consultation in English and Chinese is available through the WeChat channel for product selection and wholesale ordering. 华人安装商可通过微信获得中英双语的选品与批发咨询。

Colour PPF &
Restyling Stock

Spectra colour PPF gives restyling shops more than 200 colours in gloss and satin with an OEM paint-like finish, carrying paint-protection performance that traditional vinyl wrap does not offer.

For shops selling colour change plus protection in one job, Spectra is stocked in the same portal as the clear films, on the same 7-year limited warranty and e-Warranty registration flow.

Fleet, 4WD &
Commercial Work

FleetArmour is the bulk line for 4WD, fleet and commercial panels: a sacrificial layer made for wear and tear, priced for coverage rather than showroom finish, and straightforward to install on large flat sections.

Fleet operators and mining-region shops order it for tray sides, sills and high-abrasion zones where the job is protection volume, backed by its 3-year limited warranty.

Consumables In
The Same Order

Installation consumables ship with the film: DFA Surface Cleaner in 24-can cartons and Installation Gel in 16-litre drums sit in the same catalogue, so one order covers film, prep and slip solution.

Surface preparation is also a warranty condition: cover requires a clean, contaminant-free surface at installation, so running approved prep products protects both the job and the claim.

FAQ

  • How do I open a trade account?

Get in touch through our contact page and our team sets up your trade account, activating wholesale pricing on your login. Once approved, you order through the online shop and stock is dispatched Australia-wide. Your buy rates never appear on the public site or in front of your customers, and the same login manages your order history and warranty registrations.

  • Can the film go on surfaces other than cars?

Yes. Defcon PPF installs on any smooth painted surface, which is why sign writers and asset owners use it beyond vehicles. Chrome is also workable: the protected chrome can read slightly differently to the bare finish, so test a small patch first and show the customer before wrapping the full trim.

  • How deep a scratch will the film self-heal?

The self-healing clear coat is about 13 microns thick. Scratches contained within that layer repair with heat from sunlight or warm water, which is a demonstration worth doing in front of customers. Anything that cuts through the clear coat is permanent, and that section of film should be replaced rather than polished.

  • Can PPF be installed on windscreens?

Standard PPF is not suitable for windscreens: the film's optical properties and impact absorption create visual distortion on glass. Crystal Shield is the Defcon line built specifically for EV glass protection, so quote glass work on Crystal Shield and paint work on the PPF lines.

  • Are precut kits available?

Yes, precut kits can be ordered through the online shop or authorised dealers. On complex curved panels we still recommend certified installation, which is exactly the work our trade customers sell, so kits complement rather than compete with your installation business.

  • Can customers apply ceramic coating over the film?

Yes. Ceramic coatings can be applied over Defcon PPF and do not interfere with the self-healing layer, though some coatings change the gloss level of the finish. Advise customers to use coatings designed for PPF, and quote the combination as a package where it suits the vehicle.

  • Do you offer support in Chinese?

Yes. Bilingual consultation in English and Chinese is available through our WeChat channel, covering product selection, ordering and technical questions. 我们提供中英双语咨询,微信扫码即可获得一对一支持。

  • What maintenance should end customers follow?

No special maintenance is needed beyond regular cleaning, which keeps the aftercare conversation simple at handover. The self-healing top coat handles minor wash marks with heat, and full care terms sit alongside the warranty conditions on the warranty page.

  • How long does Defcon PPF last?

Defcon ONE carries a 12-year warranty and Glanz a 10-year warranty covering yellowing, staining, bubbling, peeling and cracking, so the film you sell is warranted for close to the ownership life of most vehicles.

  • Will the film yellow over time?

Defcon ONE is backed by a 12-year warranty against yellowing and other common film issues, and abnormal or premature yellowing is treated as a manufacturing defect under warranty. Proper care maintains clarity through the film's lifespan.

  • Does the warranty transfer if the vehicle is sold?

Yes. Defcon warranties transfer to subsequent vehicle owners while a valid e-Warranty record exists, which is a selling point your customers can pass on at resale.

  • Does removing the film damage paint?

Modern factory paint adheres to the panel far more strongly than the film adheres to the paint, so correct removal is very unlikely to damage original paint. Recommend professional removal using heat to soften the adhesive and minimise residue.

  • Can the film go on headlights and fog lights?

Yes, Defcon films are suitable for protecting vehicle lighting surfaces, which lets you quote lights alongside paint panels in the same job.

  • Can PPF be applied over vinyl wraps or racing stripes?

Yes, PPF can be applied over vinyl or graphics. Watch hard edges, which can trap air underneath the film, and set customer expectations before quoting.

  • Can the film go over paint touch-ups?

Yes, but touch-up areas should be smooth and professionally buffed before application for the best finish, so inspect repair spots at quoting time.

  • Can the film be installed on brand-new vehicles?

Yes. Factory paint is typically fully cured before the vehicle leaves the assembly line, so new deliveries can be filmed straight away, which suits dealership pre-delivery work.

  • Can film go over dealer-applied waxes or sealants?

Remove waxes and sealants before applying PPF because they interfere with adhesion, and surface preparation is a warranty condition. If the customer wants them, apply after installation.
